RigNet Names Pal Jensen Vice President

RigNet, Inc. (Nasdaq:RNET) a leading global provider of managed remote communications solutions, telecoms systems integration services and collaborative applications to the oil and gas industry, today announced that Pål Jensen has been named to the position of vice president – Energy Maritime. Initially based in Oslo, Norway, Jensen will be responsible for leading RigNet's business of providing remote communications solutions to maritime vessels operating in upstream oil and gas around the globe.

Jensen has more than 15 years of global experience in the remote communications industry. His most recent executive position was as president of the Maritime Division at Harris CapRock Communications. Prior to that he was vice president of Maritime Sales at CapRock. Earlier in his career, he was vice president at Telenor Satellite Services, where he was responsible for leading the SeaLink division, which served the energy maritime market. Jensen also was sales director at Nera Networks and spent 14 years at IBM in various roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in the position of director, IBM Global Services. Jensen holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School.
